This web page has four images below that link to SketchUp models that can be viewed in 3D on Internet Explorer.
The software that makes this possible is ArchVision Discovery. It will allow you
to view a SketchUp model in MicroSoft Power Point or Word or on an web page. One can rotate, revolve and zoom in 3D and pan the SketchUp model being displayed.
Discovery makes it possible to present SketchUp models to customers without using SketchUp. There are two versions of the program: Desktop Version, which only works in Power Point or Word and Server Version, which will work on any web server with any server OS.
The SketchUp views that are presented here were first
created in Power Point using Archvision Discovery and then published to an HTML file. You must use MicroSoft Internet Explorer to view the 3D samples!!
To view the sample SketchUp models click on any image
on this web page. A browser will open and you will be prompted to download and install an ActiveX control program. If you do not have MicroSoft.net Framework installed and configured,
you will be prompted to install it. The download is free but could take a few minutes. After the ActiveX program is installed, you will be asked to reboot your computer. Then the actual Discovery Viewer
will be installed. After the process is complete, the "view" of a 3D SketchUp model will be displayed.
To generate your own SketchUp "views" using Discovery, download the trial
version from here. The trial version will create watermarked views.
How to operate the views: First click on the view. Hold the right mouse button for zooming. Hold the left mouse button for rotating and revolving. Hold both left and right
mouse buttons for panning. When you generate your own views, you will have control of background color, the degree of rotation, displaying shadows, etc.
